"The river runs through it...".

Fishermen's Tales....

The lake is substantial, and even if there are other anglers on the water, the sense is that you have the water all to yourself...

Exploring the channels between the weedbeds near the inlet of the Polela River, the flyline thrummed taut and a fat rainbow trout took to the air, producing a satisfying arc in my flyrod and in my heart rate...
There is also a second, smaller dam on the farm, which is managed by the Underberg Himeville trout Fishing Club
Goxhill boasts the largest lake in the Underberg area. The Polela River which runs through the lake provides a natural breeding environment for trout, providing fishermen with the opportunity of pitting their skills against 'wild trout' -  an exciting challenge for both seasoned anglers and new-comers to the sport
