Set on a working dairy farm in the foothills of the spectacular Southern Drakensberg, Goxhill trout Lodge offers comfortable self-catering accommodation, excellent trout waters and a host of activities in and around the nearby villages of Himeville and Underberg.

Goxhill boasts the largest lake in the Underberg area. The Polela River which runs through the lake provides a natural breeding environment for trout.

There are a number of attractive shops in and around Underberg and Himeville, offering gifts, curios, and crafts. Beautiful framed, backed or rolled photography can be purchased on site.
Horse Riding can be arranged with several Horse Trail facilities in the area
There are many hiking trails on our doorstep. For the energetic walkers, day walks can be arranged in the mountains, either with or without a guide.
The Underberg Country Club golf course is only a 10 minute drive away and welcomes visitors for casual rounds, or for the regular Wednesday and Saturday competitions.
The farm is situated on the boundary of the KZN Himeville Nature Reserve. Other KZN Wildlife areas such as Loteni, Cobham, Garden Castle, Vergelegen and Coleford, are a short drive away.
Cycling trails are to be found close by and on the farm, taking you through the beautiful farm lands alongside to the Umzimkulu and Polela Rivers.
Goxhill is a bird watcher's paradise. Flocks of crowned crane are often seen and it is also common to see fish eagle swooping down. Read more...
